PureGym Switzerland removed live gym occupancy from its app in April 2025, while still advertising the feature on its website. I coded 100 App Store reviews and compared the app against competitors to work out what that cost members, then redesigned the flows around it. The result is a case for treating a removed feature as a retention problem rather than a UI one.
